There are now three distinct tabs down the left hand side. The topmost tab is the Gem Store, the second is the Currency Exchange gems to gold, gold to gemsand the third is the Trading Post. Within the Trading Post tab, there is a left panel with your gold balance at the top, and a right panel with four tabs at the top. The left panel also displays filter options for the right pane explained belowand the Delivery Box where items you buy and gold you earn are held until collected from a Black Lion Trader NPC.

Without an NPC, you can only view the contents of the box. This will list all items available for purchase on the Trading Post — use the filter options and search box in the left pane to find the items you are interested in.

You can filter items by category, and search by name. Advanced options allow you to search by rarity and usable level, with additional advanced search options available for certain filter categories e. The price shown beside each item in the list is the lowest sell offer. Clicking on any item will open a popup displaying buy and sell orders, where you can choose to buy from the lowest sell order instantly, place your own buy order at a lower price, or leave without buying. This is very similar to the second tab, except the list displays unbound items from your inventory.

You can use filters to show only the contents of a particular inventory bag — note that items in Invisible Bags will not be shown even if you select the Invisible Bag! You can also search by name, rarity and level. Clicking on any item will open a popup displaying buy and sell orders for that item, where you can choose to sell to the highest buy order instantly, place your own sell order at a higher price, or leave without selling your items.

This tab is useful for cancelling buy or sell orders which have not yet been fulfilled, and for seeing where all the gold you just earned came from! The interface is far from perfect, with some frustrating design choices and an often unresponsive item browser. There is a lot of room for improvement.

However, as it is all we have to work with our only option is to push ahead and use the tools available to the best of our ability.
