They didn't have shottas, I went there for a coat, guess what? No coats Burlington COAT Factory I've never been to Burlington before, so I was amazed at the amount of selection they had in their Baby Depot. So where does this Burlington fall short? One of the baby robes I picked out did not have a tag, so one of the employees was able to retrieve another robe for me within five minutes. Long story short, I didn't get the robe, but that's beside the point.

I was at the register for 20 minutes, for no good reason! The employee ringing me up kept spacing out and socializing with his coworkers who also weren't doing anything but standing there and laughing.

In between talking to them he would tell me "I have to do this, I have to do that, I'll be a sec", "hold on I need to write this information down" and "is it just me or did y'all here that noise? All he had to do was ring me up, take my money, and give me my receipt. This whole "ordeal" took 20 minutes. I honestly would not doubt the fact that he was high. I came in the next day Saturday afternoon to return all the items I bought and to my surprise the staff during that shift was professional in comparison to the staff I encountered the day before.

If I could give no stars I would. Michael was the rudest person I have ever uncounted. He should not work with people he should be in aback room with the attitude he has. I don't know if it was a racial thing because I'm African American but he was rude to me for no reason.

I simply asked him if I could return something with my receipt but it was over the 30 days and he told me that he was not going to do it and that there was no one else that I could talk to he was the highest manger there was.

He cussed at me so bad that the man standing behind me had to remind him that was a woman and I shouldn't be talked to like that.

If Burlington ever wanted any money from me again they would have to ensure me that he was not there anymore. Horrible, ghetto, flickering lights, dingy, stuffy, dirty, scattered and very unorganized!

I would never recommend this store to anyone! I won't come back! If I could give a half star I would. Let's be honest, this place is run so horribly that it needs to be either closed or revamped from top to bottom Staff and Store. I have been to other Burlington's and they are great stores to shop at.

Value, service and selections are fairly normal for Burlington It has slowly gotten worst as the years go by. I went to shop there last month and it looks like the place is going out of business! The Men's stock of dress wear is all but non existent. I've seen second hand stores in better condition!

Everyone tells me "Go to the other locations Really sad for Stockton as Burlington is actually a really good retail store and this location looks to be on its way out for sure. Ross is actually opening right next door and that will really hurt an already struggling store full of rude, unprofessional, unpleasant staff to match the messy store. Keep in mind that I am not disgruntled, nor do I have any malicious intent towards anyone there.

I'm just calling it as I see it. I bought a jacket for my grandfather and didn't know it was damaged on the sleeve and went to the store to return it the next morning.

IT WAS DAMAGED IN THERE STORE! I had the receipt and my debit card and they still wouldn't take the jacket back! I had worked for Burlington and we returned damaged items all the time! Even the worker who first helped me said they take damaged items back, so OBVIOUSLY ALEX AND MIKE HAD A PERSONAL PROBLEM.

I Can't wait until Monday morning to call corporate. Burlington does more than just coats, jackets, and outerwear now as it is now comparable to stores such as Ross and Marshall's. If you're a 49ers or Warriors fan, you can find A LOT of fan gear for a great price. I'm giving this Burlington 3-stars because it is extremely unorganized, but you can still find great deals. I really enjoy going here because I always manage to find some pretty good things for some even better deals.

Today however, I encountered a very interesting situation. The young lady, Serina, who rang my mom and I out, was very rude and unprofessional. Not to mention her use of foul language and her concern in regards to the lack of hours she was receiving. Word of advice, from one retail employee to another -- Leave your personal conversations and work gossip with coworkers for your break, and not out for your customers to hear.

Your customers don't want to hear about your work problems. I was so excited when Burlington came to Stockton because I would visit the Modesto location but boy what a disappointment. The customer service is awful, the staff acts like you're bothering them when you ask for help or even by checking out. I frequent this store along with the Manteca location, per month.

July 7th , a young lady working register 7 attempted to help me with a return and an exchange. The return I did have a receipt for the exchange I did not. The Burlington store policy CLEARLY states that a exchange can be made with a valid form of identification. I read the store return policy which is taped down to each counter at each register, printed on the back of all receipts, and asked her again.

With attitude, Sophia said if you do not have a receipt and you paid with cash you can't return or exchange anything, that's the policy. I in return explain to her regardless of what you tell me the policy is the Burlington policy and it clearly states I read their policy.

A Supervisor was called to the front. The store is full of customers the line is long and they refuse to honor the store policy. So I simply ask if they will not exchange the shirt because of the color of my skin, or because of my racial background, I explained not honoring the store policy is insubordination. Now I have the Supervisor Shannon Attention. She now calls her Manger to ask if she can exchange my shirt. While on the walkie talkie with her manager I tell Shannon she does not need her approval because the store policy states she has to exchange it.

And I cannot understand if it is because I am black, or that they exchange merchandise on a as we feel basis but what they are doing is WRONG. Shannon then says, well we have been having alot of issues with theft and returns so that's why we try not to return without a receipt.

I was beyond upset at that point. Because I have misplaced my receipt, you have classified me as a thief.

Your store issues have nothing to do with me. I will take my merchandise and find someone to give it to. I will make sure your corporate office and every media outlet I can reach is aware of what has taken place here. I will make sure they know how you are NOT honoring store policy and treating customers, especially use of color. You have made me very uncomfortable infront of my children. For every customer that comes behind me without a receipt you are to honor their exchange as long as they have valid identification, that's policy!

I picked up my stuff, grabbed my children hands, told both Sophia and Shannon, I will not not be ignorant as you have been, but I will make sure you are reprimanded.

No one moves with a sense of urgency and the lines are ridiculous! I just about lost it being in here. I will NEVER do business here, ever! Impressed with the excellent customer service from the Operation Manager and his staff. I was attempting to decided which floor mats would work for my car, the manager brought mats out to see if they would fit and one set did! This saved me time and prevented a return. Thank you for great customer service! I am really irritated!!! Train your staff better!!!!!

If u have time to go through every row and every garment then this is ur place lol you can find hidden treasures for cheap cheap I found everything I needed. Wow, this place is like Mervyn's or Kohl's on steroids! Acres and acres of coats and jackets I saw up to size 5X!! The selection of strollers looked like the stroller parking areas at Disneyland. Went in to cancel a layaway and she quickly told us it was expired already and shoved the receipt back at me. When I asked if I got any money back she said "I dont know! No wonder the store is as dirty as it is with this woman running it. The Manteca store is much nicer and worth the drive! As i was getting ready to check out and pay, the the black lady cashier hardly acknowledges me or makes any eye contact.

And she is talking to another black lady co worker and is saying how "she cant wait to go home and doesnt want to be here" also she starts talking to another cashier in a real ghetto lingo. I will never be back again.

When this store first opened it was wonderful. It was clean and very well stocked. I was looking for some jewelry yesterday and decided to go here. It looked like a junk heap; the merchandise was on the floor and barley any on the shelves. What was there was broken. The selection was awful! The shoe department was a mess, the shoes actually looked worn, and they were dirty.

The shoes were all over the floor. I could not believe the condition of this store, I will not be returning. It's really not a good store. But I will continue to visit every now and then because one can still find treasure in a big pile of junk if they're persistent and search hard enough. About once a year I find something I want for about half sometimes more the price of what they charge in a popular retail store such as Macy's.

It takes a lot of effort for me to search for this type of stuff as Burlington Coat Factory is a bit sloppy which makes it look depressing but I love saving a ton of money that can and will be used wisely.
